​Founder of Appearances Salon And Spa, Bindu has dedicated her career to creating an inviting space where clients feel at home, cared for and confident. 

​Born in India and raised in Canada, Bindu moved at age 12 with big dreams and a determination to succeed. In 2008, she brought those dreams to life by opening Appearances, a salon built on quality, integrity and kindness.

I've been in the hair industry for over 26 years and I can honestly say I still love it just as much as I did the day I started. I began working in a salon when I was 13, and from that moment on I knew this was exactly where I was meant to be. Hair has always been more than a career for me; it's my passion, my outlet, and a part of who I am. Over the years I've had the chance to travel, compete, and experience amazing opportunities in this industry. But what I love most is being behind the chair connecting with my clients. My clients feel like family to me and I never take for granted how special it is to make someone feel beautiful, confident, and seen. I specialize in blondes and fine hair, and I have a soft spot for anyone who's felt discouraged about their hair. Whether I'm painting, drawing, designing or creating behind the chair, I'm happiest when I'm making something beautiful. I feel incredibly lucky to wake up every day and do what I love, something that feeds my soul and allows me to share that little bit of that joy with others.

I was born and raised in Washago, Ontario. I have travelled around Ontario, but I came back to this area and now I call it home. On my days off I love spending time with my son and dog, kayaking, and travelling. In my 25 years of experience,  I have enjoyed working with all hair types and continuing the many educational classes I have under my belt!

Hello, I'm Chris. I started my hairstyling career in Orillia 30 years ago and I have been a part of the Appearances team for 15 years. I am very passionate about the incredible diversity of hair and the creativity it allows. Every texture, tone and style tells a different story, and I take pride in helping clients discover looks that reflect their individuality. Whether it's a bold colour transformation, a complete style change or a beautiful life moment such as a wedding party or graduation, I am grateful to be able to bring each client's vision to life. I also offer professional ear piercing services to go along with my focus of comfort and precision. Outside of the salon, I am an avid music lover and I always have concert tickets in hand! I am also dedicated to helping people in need in the community. I believe that when you help your community, your community helps you.

My name is Stephanie. Originally from Barrie, I relocated to Orillia with my husband and three boys. In my downtime, I enjoy being with my family, crocheting, entertaining at my home and baking. I recently joined the Appearances team and I am looking forward to my future here. I am blessed to be working with such incredible colleagues and for being welcomed into such a wonderful creative space. I love working with my clients to find the perfect colour, cut and aftercare to best suit their lifestyle and budget. I want each client to leave my chair feeling elated and confident.

Hi! I'm Deena, I was born and raised in Orillia. On my days off I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love spending time at my cottage and being on the water. As a master stylist, I enjoy a variety of different hair services.

Hi! I'm Madison! I'm your skin's new bestie! I help you glow, unwind, and feel amazing in your own skin. My intention in this industry is to create a safe, welcoming, come as you are environment. 

I am all about creating a fun experience because body care doesn't have to be serious to deliver serious results! On my days off, I love to spend time with my dog, Lulu and go shopping.
